What: Small group powerlifting class
Limited to the first 5 registered
Powerlifting 101 is an 8 week long, small-group, powerlifting class. Participants receive a 8 week, 3 day/week powerlifting program as well as 2 group classes per week. Classes are T/Th from 7-9pm, they begin on September 18th, and they are led by 2 coaches. With a coach/athlete ratio of 2/5, participants will get a lot of personal attention! We'll help tune up your technique, to maximize strength and minimize injury risk. Participants will have the option of doing their 3rd day of programming each week at a Redbeard Barbell & Fitness open gym, either Friday night or Sunday morning.
This class is great for anyone looking for coaching in the barbell lifts; interested in powerlifting as a sport; and/or crossfiters looking for extra strength work and/or coaching. While this class is geared towards folks with at least a little barbell experience, the programming will include some autoregulation so it will be effective and appropriate for most strength levels. Each class will include a warm-up, a strength workout, and plenty of #dadjokes! No conditioning here... We're focused on strength!
